Vision Centre Exhibitions.

I went to the St. Peter’s Vision centre in North Main Street last Thursday and there was an exhibition on of the Evening Echo with then and now photos of Cork City and an exhibition that was completely based on trees. I found both of these exhibitions very interesting. Some of the photos of Cork then and now were very similar and others were very different but I definitely think the cars were nicer in the 1940s. Some things have only changed a little, like the Queen’s Old Castle shopping centre had some sort of symbol above which was replaced with a clock and the shopping centre is now just three separate shops. The other exhibition is by an artist named Hammond Journeaux. It consists of paintings and sketches. I also took some pictures of other things at the vision centre like maps and Easter Rising commemorations. It was a very fun day out. 🙂
